Wetland fishing is another tradition that has not only survived but has now evolved into a modern Aquaculture industry. From East to West, the province has developed fish-farms which produce, annually, about 2,000 tonnes, mainly Bream and Sea Bass, as well as a large volume of mussels. The industry is evolving constantly, with new investments and projects, including a world pioneering breeding farm for Bluefin tuna in El Puerto de Santa María.
