Investments made in the period 2009 - 2011, were as follows: 319.3 million euros, 384.5 million euros, 745.3 million euros and 784.6 million euros.
The Ministry of Industry has provided a total of 414.5 million euros, in the period 2008 to 2011. This represents an investment of more than 2,200 million euros.
During the years: 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, the total number of grant applications, either outright grants or loans, has been 830 applications approved, of which 515 correspond to industry and 315 to infrastructure.
The renewable energy sector has attracted the greater part of the investments of the last three years, with an estimated investment of 372.4 million euros and a total of 26 applications. This represents 39.51% of all Reindustrialisation investment initiatives of the past three years.
Its location adheres to the municipalities of El Puerto de Santa Maria and Puerto Real.
Of the 71 applications approved in 2009, 22 of them belong to the agribusiness sector with an investment of 33 million euros and a loan volume of 16.6 million euros.
In the years 2010 and 2011 the volume of investment approved for this sector has been 143.4 million euros, if you add it to the investment of 2009, the total volume generated by this agribusiness, is 176.5 million euros.
The location of the greater number of cases is concentrated in the town of Jerez. Therefore, a very obvious consideration is that Jerez, can, is and should be, the point of reference for provincial agribusiness.
Next in investment volume, the engineering sector with a figure of 139.4 million euros and 45 approved initiatives. This sector, like aeronautics, is concentrated in the municipalities of Puerto Real and El Puerto de Santa María, subsectors of naval construction and automotive construction are the main beneficiaries. Next in importance is the aviation industry with 10%, and then others with 17%.
